Just A Share

Image
I had a dear friend come into town for me to take her son's photos.  As usual, I had a blast and was so beyond grateful for the opportunity to become a part of someone's memories. I even had the opportunity to sit in her presence while she saw the photos for the first time........we both had tears in our eyes. Here is a tiny share... What is even better?  Handsome Devin here will be a senior next year, and guess who gets to take his senior portraits?  You guessed it!  Meeeeeee! I simply can't wait. xoxo

WALL RIDERS Are Here!

Image
Well, our sample will be at my studio as soon as I can narrow down my art selection to just one.  Oh boy, this is going to be hard....  These are unique, and exciting.  They are an actual skate deck with YOUR photo (taken by the lovely me), and some amazing art printed directly on it.  They come with mounting hardware for your wall!  These have been officially okayed (is that even a word) by my group of high school product testers!  What does that mean?  You and  your family will LOVE them!  I will have MY Wall Rider ordered early next week, and as soon as it gets here I will share with the world....  I am so super stinking crazy excited to offer these!  If you can't wait to have one in your home, call and schedule your appointment so we can get you one~! xoxo

I had the pleasure of being a second shooter in a gorgeous wedding this weekend.  Since words can't describe exactly how beautiful this wedding was, I will let my photos do the talking for me... Just a tiny sneak peek.... xoxo

People We Love

Image
Since I am a huge proponent of spreading the word of businesses that are 100% wonderful and awesome..... I am going to dedicate this post to Jeff Pippin of Action Signs. I have been needing vinyl lettering for my studio door, but I have refused to settle on some of the garbage that I've seen. I was almost about to give up, until.......I remembered JEFF! In a last ditch effort to get the sign that my door oh so deserved, I called. Oops, the bottom logo is my water mark.  Anyhow, here is my sign!  Jeff came out within hours of me calling and had my sign installed in no time.  That deserves an A+ from me.  For all of your sign needs visit Jeff at:  http://actionsignslv.com/ I promise you will be happy you did! xoxo

Macro

Image
A macro lens has been on my wish list....  Unfortunately, my wish list is long and lately my wishes haven't been coming to fruition.  Luckilly for me, I got to borrow Aimee's macro lens for a little fun and games the other day... Here is a sampling: Even though this isn't a "macro" shot it was taken with the lens.  It was actually my favorite capture of the day.  Such an amazing moment. Ugly desert weed made beautiful...

High School Film B & W

Image
My mom found some old black and white prints that I did in HS, and gave them to me the other day....  I laughed, laughed some more, thought WHO gave this girl a camera and some film, and then I realized that these photos are where I (as a photographer) started.  We all have to start somewhere right?   My original career path of real estate was as far from photography as I could get, but it seemed a good fit since I literally grew up in a real estate office.  That office is still there, and I visit my parents there every few days for one thing or another.  My real estate license is hanging on those walls.   A few years ago, I'm not telling how many...  I combined real estate and photography.  When the opportunity to do the photography and virtual tours for our office came up, I took that on to my laundry list of office responsibilities.  Not really glamorous, and not even fun at times (um yes sir those dirty underwear on your floor WILL help sell your house all that much faster)

Springtime....

Image
Spring is one of my 4 favorite seasons.  Really!  I love it for so many reasons.  The warmth, the feel of renewal, and for these:  Last Spring (ohhhh and a few Springs prior), before this blog-and new career of mine, I wanted to capture spring here in Nevada with my camera.  I failed, miserably.  I would drive around, see the flowers, and then kick myself for NEVER having my camera with me......!  Never...!!! This year I am going to do it.  I first noticed the plum trees around town blooming a couple of days ago, and these flowers are what embodies Spring for me.  I love them.  Luckily for me, and you, I remembered my camera yesterday as I was running out the door to the store.  It was late, sun was setting, and I was about to lose light but I wanted to get these before they are gone.  I managed a couple of shots, and will hopefully get out and shoot more of them. My goal this spring is to create a new public gallery of these shots to share...  I think it is a mighty fine g
