28 Sunflowers Photography

I've had the chance to spend the past week toting my Kelly Moore Libby around everywhere with me, and put her through the major test last night at a big birthday party shoot.  Here is my follow up review:  The good, the bad, and the ugly...  First off, here is my regular purse (minus all of the embarrassing garbage that usually is floating around in there) to show you exactly how unsafe it is for one of my beloved cameras to be sitting in there being subjected to such abuse.  Maybe someone could call Camera Protective Services on me?  Because of the current condition of my purse, I don't often have a camera with me and I am always missing out on images that I would love to shoot just for me.   I miss shooting just for me sometimes.  So, I've been taking Libby everywhere with me this past week.  I've had a gripped camera body in there with a 24-70 lens always attached, and an external flash.  Now, here is the low down on my thoughts about Libby:  She is HUGE,

I love my Canon camera bag .  It has served me well for over 4 years, but time has come to where I just needed something more.  A little different.  With a ton of style.......  What is a girl to do?  Kelly Moore to the rescue! I shoot quite a bit in Las Vegas at the casinos, like The Cosmopolitan .   I am often wanting a fabulous camera bag that, well, doesn't LOOK like a camera bag.  There is nothing I dislike more than drawing attention to myself, and letting people know that I am carrying camera gear around with me.  Quite frankly, it is a simple security measure for me.  Inconspicuous = a little safer, in my mind.   What does this bag say to you?   Well, it CLEARLY told my client last week that I was her photographer that was waiting for her.  She said she was sure it was me by my bag.  Now, what does THIS bag say to you? Other than I am a super fly hip chick with great fashion taste?  Not much, and that is just how I like it. How gorgeous is that purple

I am so blessed to be able to shoot often at The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas !  At the beginning of 2012 I was hired for a 10 year anniversary shoot for the most fun couple!  Erika and Fergal came in from San Francisco (where Erika is  THE BEST real estate agent by the way) just to spend some time with ME.....ok, and to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in fabulous Las Vegas!    Their suite at The Cosmopolitan was beautiful, and fun.  Just like these two! And, that is where we spent the majority of the afternoon shooting.  I get to meet a lot of wonderful people when I am out shooting, and these two love birds were no exception.  They made me feel like I was part of their celebration, and so much at ease.     In closing, I want to thank Erika and Fergal for spending the day with me, and allowing me to be a part of their celebration.  I hope their next 10 years are even more wonderful and filled with magic than the first 10!     ~xoxo~

I often get asked what to wear for certain shoots...  Right now we are busy shooting a few types of sessions, so here are ideas for each one: New Year Winter Family Session...
